Rainy Day

So I LOVE rainy days like this one. Although not the best for my hair, which is currently one big frizzy mess...it is absolutely lovely to watch God's creation in. The beauty of a slate grey sky as a backdrop to your day...and shiny beads of water dripping from bright greet leaves...so very beautiful!
I was thinking today about the song we used to sing on rainy days as kids...and it is depressing..."it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring. He went to bed with a bump on his head, and he couldn't get up in the morning..." where the heck did this sick little song come from?? Why would anyone encourage children to sing it? hmm, anyways, while I have this sad melody of a man dieing in his sleep on a rainy day running through my head, I am still very thankful for the beautiful rainy day...and the fact that I was able to wake up and enjoy it today. Thank you Lord for the gift of another day with You.
