Dear Rain, Oh how I miss you. I read a lovely post from a fellow blogger about how you visited her and well, honestly I couldn't help but feel left out. I know this hot yucky desert isn't your favorite place to visit, but we could all use a little love now and then. I was fooled last night thinking you were going to surprise me. I saw the cloud...I saw the flash, and heard the thunderous boom...only to realize that someone was setting fireworks off in the middle of a Haboob (that would be your annoying little cousin that makes a mess of everything throwing dirt everywhere). I was to say the least, disappointed. Anyways, please come soon. With regards, C

One Thing Remains
This week I am inspired by the amazing and unfailing love of God...truly speachless and amazed. This song has captured it... :)
Jesus Culture: One Thing Remains
Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me
On and one and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains
In death and in life I'm confident and covered by the power of your great love
My debt is paid there's nothing that can separate my heart from your great love

Wait on Me.
When our hearts are heavy and burdens not so light,
You are the constant we seek.
Like a cool breeze in summer or the rushing of a stream
you refresh with gentle ease.
When the dead of winter leaves us hard and still
you revive the soul to beat.
And then...
I hear you say
"Hold on a little longer for the dream is still to come.
what's spoken once won't come back void, just wait on me.
The Spring time will again return bringing life anew once more.
If only seeds would still be sown, there are harvests yet to come.
What you see that seemed to perish was still placed here by me.
Don't forget that I work out the Victory.
I take was seemed once to be lost, and make it new again.
This journey wasn't what you thought, not at all what you desired.
It's harder now, and yes, it's disappointing.
For men will come and then they'll fall, but that's not where it will end.
For I have promised redemption.
Redemption of a heart once vanished,a dream that seemed to fade.
All in time will come to pass as beautiful as the day imagined."

Heart in Hand
Ode to you a friend of old,
And to the new beginning.
Time has passed and you have too,
that's just memory in the making.
At once you began with heart in hand
ready to unfold.
Secret dreams of flight and flourish
spoken to existence.
Each step of faith with one to follow
only brought us closer to this end.
At glance it seemed not much was left,
with inspection truth arose.
Much was lost, but much more gained
as days peddled into year.
A tale of firsts that brought much glory
would be this story's header.
Pages filled with life and love,
as visions became reality.
You once did say that in the end,
The will of God prevails.
A story then of victory,
is what we have to speak.
For the hand of God hath covered us,
we are but on our knees.
Humbled at the chance for part,
in the mystery of His plan.
I am at rest to begin once more,
another year with heart in hand.
I offer to Him my everything,
and ask but one request.
"Take each breath, each step, each word,
and use them for Your Glory."

Could This be Fall?
A cool crisp breeze, a cup of hot cocoa and boots...I think Fall may have finally arrived.
Hello to you Fall, I've missed you.

Snow Globe
Muffled voices of people looking in.
I see their lips are moving, but is it they are saying?
Do they look on me with envy of a world that seems so perfect?
Or do they see these glass walls as a fragile prison cell?
They shake these walls and watch as the snow slowly falls.
It looks so cold...it is not real though. I feel nothing.
Everything is in it's place, and the picture is just perfect.
Turned upside down and yet still nothing changes.
Who wants a life like that?
I'll take the mess that everyone can see,
for it shows the reality of me.
A disaster waiting to happen, yet somehow wrapped in grace.
Don't be so disturbed when you see tears on my face.
Tears are signs that My God is working, and that I am not alone.
When everything turns upside down and nothing is left in place,
That is a sign that My God is moving.
